The BS Spring Break Playlist!

The BS Spring Break Playlist!

Here at the BS, we recognize how important music is to your sanity (and to our own), and with spring break just around the corner we wanted to make sure you were up to date on the best jams of the season. Here are a few of the artists we’re loving at the moment...

BØRNS: This up-and-coming band will leave you wanting more. If you’re down to chill – lounging by the beach, in the car on your way to the beach, or just thinking about the beach, they’re the band for you. I’ve also had the pleasure of seeing this band up close and personal, so you’ll be glad to know they’re just as good live as they are on the record. Favorite tracks: Dug My Heart, 10,000 Emerald Pools, Fool, Past Lives – essentially all of the songs from their most recent album Dopamine.

Marina and the Diamonds: A friend of mine flew from Birmingham to Philadelphia just to see her play if that tells you anything about this Welsh gem. Favorite tracks: Forget, Blue, How to be a Heartbreaker, and so many others.

Troye Sivan: Anyone who knows me personally would be able to tell you that I’m currently obsessed with his music – he just played in Birmingham and I may or may not have stood on a parked car to see him. If you’re looking for chill vibes with thought-provoking lyrics, he’s your guy. I don’t even know where to begin with my favorite tracks: Heaven, DKLA, Fools, Blue, Too Good, Touch.

Twenty-One Pilots: These guys are probably the most widely know of the previously highlighted artists. Like Troye, they’ve got some pretty heavy lyrics, and a sound that’ll stay in your head into next week. If anyone knows where I can get tickets, hit me up! You should also check out their videos on Youtube here. Favorite tracks: House of Gold, Polarize, Car Radio, Lane Boy, Fairly Local.

Only a few of the artists featured on our BS playlist are shown here. Check out the playlist down below and give it a listen! And if you have any tracks you think should be included, feel free to leave a comment down below!
